NoTrack Coder 2.9.11 adds a new working environment: SSH — remote server. Connect to any of your own VPS or servers over SSH and run the agent directly on that machine — every shell command and file action happens there, not on your laptop.
Pick where the agent works
Each chat already lets you choose where its tools run — Local, WSL, or a Container. Now there's a fourth option: SSH — remote server. Open the environment menu, and you'll see your configured servers plus Add new.
Flip it on, pick a server, and you're working on it.
Everything runs on the remote machine
With SSH selected, the agent's whole toolset executes on the server you chose:
- Shell — commands run on the remote host, in its shell.
- Files — reading, writing, editing, listing,
grepandgloball operate on the remote filesystem. - System info — reports the remote machine, not your local one.
So you can deploy, debug a running service, tail logs, edit config and fix things where they actually live — straight from a chat.
Uses the SSH setup you already have
There's nothing new to configure or paste. NoTrack Coder uses your existing SSH key and ~/.ssh/config — the same credentials you already use to reach your servers. Enable the environment, choose a host, and go.

Frequently asked questions
What is the SSH working environment?
It's a per-chat option that runs the agent on a remote server over SSH. Every shell command and file operation in that chat executes on the server you connect to, not on your local machine.
How do I connect to a server?
Open the chat's environment menu (Local / WSL / Container / SSH), choose SSH — remote server, and pick one of your configured hosts or Add new. It uses your existing SSH key and ~/.ssh/config, so there's nothing extra to enter.
Which tools run on the remote server?
All of them for that chat — shell, file read/write/edit, directory listing, grep, glob and system info. The agent works entirely on the remote host you selected.
Do I need to set up new credentials?
No. NoTrack Coder reuses the SSH key and config you already have, the same way you'd SSH into the server yourself.
